Best curing technique that I have used was DJ Short's, from his book Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis. First you hang dry your buds in a dark dry area for a few days or until they are dry to the touch. Then you put them loosely in a brown paper bag like a groccery bag and fold it down a little. You can even put a few holes in the bag to allow better air flow. After a week or so in the bag the buds should feel crispy. Then you move them into sealable airtight mason jars to cure. Once a day open the jars to allow some fresh air to replace the stale air in the jar. Cure them like this for a minimum of 2 weeks. I cured my White Widow bud in the jars for 4 weeks and they came out excellent! DJ Short says he preferes buds cured this way for 6-8 weeks.
