Making Hash Oil

I read that when you soak the trimmings/buds in the solvent (acetone/butane/alcohol), you should only soak them for 2 minutes to avoid extracting too many impurities. Other people soak them for much longer, even days.

Does anyone have any insight/experience on the best soak time?

On a seperate note... whats better to use as the solvent? Acetone or Everclear?

only ever used the butane method, with good results , isopropyl is s`posed to be good for extraction aswell , can`t really help with the time factor but if I was doin it I would leave for a few hours ,minutes just doesn`t seem right.
