a few reasons i can think of is that tobbaco is cured a dried fully and processed also so the smoke is smooth.

Weed is usually still fairly fresh depending how long you dealer cures it if they do at all that one reason for a harsh smoke and maybe your just smoking schwag get some chronic its be a smoother smoke


and for the reasoning i could be totally wrong so take my comment by a grain of salt lol.
