They look very healthy man, keep up the good work. The strain is hard to tell if you didnt get it from a seedbank. The type however is a strong Indica. Those ladies are at least 95% Indica if not 100% due to the wide dark leaves and the light colored stem.
PS- Is that a tanning bed i see in the background in Pic#2?

the leaves are healthy and they'll help fuel the overall growth,so i wouldn't cut them off, just give them plenty of light and surround the plant with some good reflective material....bonbon

You CAN clip off the bottom leaves if you want. This will allow it to utilize more light towards the flowers and not have to worry about keeping the lower half of the plant alive. However the leaves that get the most light need to stay on because thats where the flowers get most of thier growing energy.

Thats true..I dont know. Im an outdoor grower. It seems when i clip the bottom leaves off my outdoor plants they have a slightly higher yield than when i dont. Never tried it on an indoor plant so i dont know..

the longer growing season allows the new growth to assimilate, plus the full sunlight it recieves allows it to regenerate faster, the indoor grow is different, the light is weaker and the leaves help utilize every bit of it....bonbon
