Oops i completely left out the entire point of the post, which is dont cut off leaves, the plant will start eating itself. The worst thing is to over prune it then put it into flowering, wch i found out the hard way. Within 12 hours the plant started eating itself. All the leaves up to about six inches from the bottom developed crispy yellow spots. After about 2 weeks i had to murder it, i still have nightmares. But yeah dont cut off any leaves. hahaha i just lit 2 cigaretts because i forgot i lit the first one, ahh where is my mind going.

I'm always the same Turtle love, but it never stops me posting anyway

Thankyou for the replies guys and yes I also share you're concerns about prunning/hacking them but it's desperation time here

I truely think that Zandor hit it on the head with the fungus. I'm positive that everything is ok with all the other elements in the grow, I personally believe it's something to do with the growroom

I'm pretty sure I will lose this grow and I've posted some pics of the ongoing problem on my grow thread.

Thanks guys ............................ a slightly depressed mand xxx

I think you might be suprised. I've seen this very same leaf issue before and it never had a negative impact in any way.

Keep your spirits up and think positive.

Best of luck to ya n keep us posted!

Fungus can cause rusts which look a bit like a cal. deficency, ie brown spots and can also cause blights which produce yellowing viens. The compost may be to rich in humus which in excess can burn as it has not yet broken down into humnic acid. Untill the microbial life breakdown the humus and ammonium nitrogen into nitrate it is unusable by the plant and can build up. If feeding with chemicals that can kill the microbes in the soil and the humus will not break down with out them. Nitrogen is washed away easily if that is the case and flushing is a good idea. Could I ask what you are feeding them?
