I have read the same ones as you. Some, a couple of times. It seems like you get something you missed the second time around. Now, I just occasionally pick up a book and just turn to a page and start reading.
I would like to be as controlled as you... but when the matter is books, im obsessive-compulsive... i indulge myself in reading and re-reading until i cant even look to the book... but as i always read stoned, there is a lot of things i understand only after many re-readings... and this books are very dense, there is a LOT of knowledge there... one sentence can teach more than years of life...

Me too! I could almost say my life was be divided in BC and AC (Before Castaneda and After Castaneda). I only dont say it because there is a thing greater than his books that changed my life even more, and was one of the things that lead me to his books. The Weed. Without it i would never have read any books from him, and even if i read, i would not understand as well as i did.

there is a ton to be learned and not for a minute do I believe it is fiction.
I like it too, but i prefer the parts about the everyday life, cause that were the parts that more changed my mind and my view of the world. Things like erasing personal history, losing self-importance, asking advice from death, and so...
Some time ago i started to try shut up the internal dialogue, as a way to store personal power, and i started to notice a LOT of things that happens which are so much to be conicidence... And i started to have "feelings" about what i should do, like, i would feel a need to run to the bus stop, then if i run i would arrive there and the bus was just leaving, or things like this... If i tell anybody, they could say am just VERY lucky, but i think what people calls luck is in reality personal power...
And thats why i believe its not fiction, but a very real thing.
Coelho Reviewed by Coelho on . What are your thoughts on Carlos Castaneda? Has anyone read any of the books written by Carlos Castaneda? If so, do you think it truly is non-fiction. I really dont care if it is or isn't cause all of the books are a great read and the teachings are incredible. Castaneda really tells a complete story about all of his time in Sonora, Mexico with Don Juan learning how to become a complete being and warrior. Rating: 5
