What are your thoughts on Carlos Castaneda?

Has anyone read any of the books written by Carlos Castaneda? If so, do you think it truly is non-fiction.
I really dont care if it is or isn't cause all of the books are a great read and the teachings are incredible. Castaneda really tells a complete story about all of his time in Sonora, Mexico with Don Juan learning how to become a complete being and warrior.

It gets into alot of cool stuff in the books after. Alot of hikes into the desert with don juan seeking power spots and places of predilation. Plus of course mecalito and peyote to shift his awareness. I swear that he smoked salvia a few times in the series. They talk about hitting what they called little smoke and after he would hit that he would have wild hallucinations and it would permanately change the way he seen things.

I think the first book was written in 1962

I wish I could exlain it better. I still go back and read the books cause there is so much to learn and comprehend.

Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

    I read that book.

I liked it so much, it took me about 2 days to read it...

Pretty cool. In my opinion (OPINION), it's fiction. Not that it's total bullshit, but I think it's fiction. I mean, the part where his head turns into a crow?

    Or the lizards talking?

Very cool and entretaining read though!
