Planting patterns?

So if you've seen any of my other posts you probably know this is my first outdoor grow.. or first mj grow ever actually.

I was wondering if there is any type of pattern or system that you guys use when planting outside.. do you put like patches of say 5 plants together then walk 500 feet into some deep foliage and plant another 5, like 5" apart.. or would it be wiser to plant single plants in sporadic places and hope that I remember where the hell they are?

I'm just wondering if people usually have success when planting in patches or if "the man" usually finds them this way.

Anyway, anyone's opinion is greatly appreciated and the more opinions the better IMO.

I would find a good place and plant a bunch of them
