Is my friend growing weed?

i noticed a plant in my friends house the other day with leaves that look exactly like cannabis, but they are green in the middle and red on the edge. the leaves are about 1in big. Does this plant contain any THC? is it a relative of cannabis?

Get a cutting and smoke it - if you get high then whatever it is its something good :thumbsup: . If you don't get high, its not weed. If you get sick or die, its not weed, and it sucks too...

Pictures! And I doubt its weed. The only "red" I've seen on the herb is on pistilate flowers of some strains that flower purple...

i doubt that you friend just has weed growing in his house were others can see it, but i you want to know ASK HIM!

i dont know anything about growing, but if it was hidden in a closet under lights it was probably weed, if it was sitting out in the open like a fern or something it wasnt. did it smell? use a little common sense

first, if it had red leaves, and was cannabis it would be nearing harvest and smell like crazy! second,most fan leaves are much bigger that 1 inch. third and this is important, dont go telling others you think or know that you friend is growing weed, keep you mouth shut! nobody!

im not stupid, im not gonna go around telling everbody i think that they there growing weed. i was just wondering if it was related to weed or not

there have been some important things brought up here so let me recap and add a few:

1. the smell. Is it giving off a strong smell of weed?
2. the size of the leaves suggest that it is not weed. I know that japanese maple have very similar leaves to marijuana that turn from green to red to purple, but i dont know why your friend would have one indoors.
3. What context is it in? if it is indeed being grown out in the open, in may not be weed, but under a professional grow setup, possibly.

If you see it again pay close attention to these details, and tell us what happens.
