While the flourescent lights will work, you're not gonna get a very good yield off them relative to High Pressure Sodium. At far as the yield off those plants, expect anything from 1 ounce up to 30 ounces. It really depends on how skilled you are and what the conditions are. It's unlikely that you'd get 30 ounces off flourescents, though. But if it's your first grow, don't get your hopes up - if you have low expectations, you won't be disappointed!

Also, consider using something other than miracle grow. It's generally not a good idea since it's a time release formula.

It seems as though you don't yet understand the lighting. There are two parts of the growing cycle. The first is anything from 18/6 to 24/0. This keeps the plants growing like crazy and they will not flower on this cycle, unless they hit the predefined time that they absolutely have to flower. 12/12 is for flowering. The shorter daylight time makes the plant think it's the end of the season and thus time to flower. Do a little reading and you'll get more info on this.

My recommendation, if you haven't started yet, hold off for a while and keep reading these boards so you can learn as much as possible. You won't regret it
