    How to GROW

If the person who submitted this picture gets offended...

    I apologize..

I only use this picture as an example cause I think a lot of people grow like this....

Here is a nice beginner set up..
Good lights... nice pots... nice healthy plants... nice reflective material.. nice attempt at adjuting the height of the plants to accomodate al the different plants...

    ALL of these great things..

So what is WRONG with this grow...?
These plants are 76 days old.....
They should have been cloned and be almost 75% through flowering.
They are WAY WAY to tall for fluorescent lighting..

They will yield no more now then if they were 10 inches shorter...

It is very difficult for new growers and even old growers to realize that STRETCHING is BAD.... and tall plants (with limited watts and zero side lighting) are useless..

    LOVE is YOU

Come on now brother sheist, this is GK we're talkin about. Not only is homie an expert grower (as far as I'm concerned) but he's also probably THE most positive person on this board. Maybe I misread what GK posted but it only seems like he's giving an example of a decent setup with poor techniques. He's right too. If the person growing those plants started flowering when their plants at around 10 inches to 1 foot (about a month into the grow) his or her yeild could be substantially larger than letting the plants grow so big that light penetration to the bottom of the plant is null and void.

Damn, I guess I just 'racked' on ol' dude. I speak the truth though big homie. Big plants are nice if you can get light to the ENTIRE plant otherwise you're just wasting space and plant matter.

Happy growing and my the bud be with you all.

    How to GROW

That makes sense. For someone like me with limited ground space its probally better to grow only a few plants so more light penetrates. If you don't have much room, craming the plants together like that is kinda deterimental. If you have less ground but alot of height its better to have as few plants as poss, if you have alot of ground space but little height then you can grow many more.. common sense really.
