I realize your not talking to me here but

What was done to Native Americans back then was unacceptable I donâ??t think many argue otherwise. But the fact is that every nation has at some point in their history done some pretty nasty things. How far do you want to go back? When do people start taking personal responsibility for the state of their lives?

I live in Native American grand central station. The major tribes here are doing quite well for themselves. And I say good for them although, I think they donâ??t always let their money trickle down as far as it should within the tribe.

They need to go back to the port of entry that they should have come through in the first place and get a guest worker permit....we will never know exactly how many or who is who really except for the millions that are here working, honest and truly doing right...they should be made to pay taxes and help with their healthcare but the fact is that most of the illegals coming from Mexico don't want to be an American citizen...they want to support their families back in Mexico (home) and hope one day to be able to go back home theirselves and have a better life...to me this is like trying to close the door after the horse got out kind of thing...way to late.

So the way I see it is ....if someone is not chasing you with a butcher knife than wait in line just like everyone else.

Iâ??ve been to Panmunjeom and the JSA/DMZ and South Koreanâ??s donâ??t have to worry about fleeing millions of North Koreans because North Korean soldiers would shoot them in the back if they tried. Thatâ??s not exactly Mr. Foxâ??s solution he gives them maps and tips on how to violate our sovereignty.

I think employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants should be severally punished. If you stop making it beneficial to them they will stop doing it.

I have no way of knowing if the fine Mexican at the pizza joint is illegal or not. It is left up to the employer to check his documentation.

I would like very much to be able to grow my own grass : )
Concerning employers in this state (Alabama) they did get a rude awakening last year in a lawsuit which was won by the defendant (17 year old illegal) who was working on the roof of a new home being built when he fell and was in a coma for a few days, sustained permanent brain damage and the courts here ruled that his employers had to pay a settlement and he WILL get a check for life..being cared for now by his Mother..the company will not appeal the ruling so...business owners still hire of course but are really beginning to understand they want more and more and are winning. When a certain part of Alabama was being "taken over" literally by the dangerous ones that we didn't even know who they were...we started taking pics of the employers tags picking them up for "work" and sent them to the IRS..thats the only time we actually saw any action taken. Its difficult to continue the way things are now considering the rally held here had apprx. 200 legals and illegals and the main focus was on the women (illegals) that had multiple children with them saying their children are legal and they need their parents..what can you do with that? And also the main theme was a moajority saying that we can send them home but they will be back tomorrow...and are never going to stop...oh well there is another "rally" coming up the 8th of next month so...should be interesting.

I guess my whole problem with the illegals issue is the "They do the jobs no one wants" song and dance.

If they weren't there willing to DO the crappy jobs for minimum wage, companies would be forced to pay a living wage to thier employees and provide better working conditions. (For example, in my hometown we have a chicken processing plant that has been known to employ illegals...back when there were fewer, the working conditions weren't as bad...now, if you miss a day for any reason, you don't have a job AND you have ZERO chance of promotion within the plant unless you speak Spanish.)

People complain that hiring people at a wage that's considered livable (livable NOT being 10 people in a one bedroom apartment) would cause a raise in prices...and it probably would, since companies that have been padding thier wallets with goods made by people living in substandard conditions sold at inflated prices is standard practice, but do we really want to ENCOURAGE this sort-of behavior in companies by making it easier for illegals to be here?

Then again, I'm sure if we closed the border, more companies would just move to Mexico to exploit it's economic situation.

I'm sympathetic to poverty, but comming from a state where we've got people who live a step or two above Mexico conditions, I'd rather see the border closed and more focus on taking care of the abundance of people this countries already got.

(Yeah, I know someone's likely to make the arguement that NOWHERE in the US is as bad as Mexico, but there ARE people who live in shacks without electricity, running water, and who sometimes have to bet their next meal on what they can catch in backwater parts of Arkansas...like Madison County)

Every race has a Klan, the mexican KKK is no different

Marchers say gringos, not illegals, have to go
    http://prisonplanet.com/articles/mar...b_Marchers.htm
WASHINGTON â?? While debates about guest-worker programs for illegal aliens take place in the corridors of power, in the streets of America's big cities no amnesty is being offered by activists calling for the expulsion of most U.S. citizens from their own country.

While politicians debate the fate of some 12 million people residing in the U.S. illegally, the Mexica Movement, one of the organizers of the mass protest in Los Angeles this week, has already decided it is the "non-indigenous," white, English-speaking U.S. citizens of European descent who have to leave what they call "our continent."

The pictures and captions tell the story.

"This is our continent, not yours!" exclaimed one banner.

"We are indigenous! The only owners of this continent!" said another.

"If you think I'm illegal because I'm a Mexican, learn the true history, because I'm in my homeland," read another sign.

"One of the more negative parts of the march was when American flags were passed out to make sure the marchers were looked on as part of 'America,'" said the group's commentary on the L.A. rally.

write your Congressman....we had a Congressman speak at our school
he stated that many times when he has to vote he refers to the number of calls rec'd. If 10 people call FOR a bill, and 100 people call AGAINST a bill he will often vote based on the number of calls rec'd as those are the people he represents.

WRITE and/or CALL your Congressman TODAY.
