I think I would be most pissed off if I were a Mexican American. Think about it when people look at you they secretly wonder if youâ??re an illegal immigrant or not, they think you donâ??t have medical or car insurance. If I were a Mexican American I would be pissed off indeed.

Mexican are not leaving Mexico to escape religious or ethnic persecution. They are leaving for economic reasons. I would say that if they believe that their conditions are so â??unfairâ?� than perhaps THEY should change that factâ?¦through revolution if necessary. If every illegal immigrant in the US decided to stay in their homeland and fight for change than change would happen.

They reason why Americanâ??s wonâ??t work in those jobs is because the wages are unfair not because we think were to good for it. The wages are unfair because the workforce is illegal and bosses can pay whatever they like.

Hard working AMERICAN business owners who choose to obey the law and hire legal labor canâ??t compete because their competitors can under bid them because they use illegal labor.

Yeah you might have to pay an extra dollar for your lettuce but how much would you save on medical, school, uninsured motorist, and jail/prison expenses.

Mexico needs to get their own shit straight.

First of all, it's obvious you've never been to Mexico. Guards ride around on the back of humvees with fingers ON the tigger. At the very first sign of revolution, they'll get shot. People who think America is fascist should at least visit Mexico. If you even so much as say "down with vincente fox!" you'd be very dead. Very quickly.

Most big companies with low prices either set up shop somewhere in China where there is no minimum wage or hire illegal aliens to work, since they don't have to pay minimum wage. Examples would be Wal-Mart, Dickies, many shopping outlets, etc.

Jail/prison expenses? Of course, the legal course of action is to deport illegal aliens where they stand trial in their country of origin, yet one out of every five inmate is an illegal alien, according to the 2004 report. Americans are keeping these people in America.

Yes I understand that there are many reasons why someone may want to flee their homeland. But I equate illegal immigration with cutting in line and not just in front of other Mexicans but butting in front of the whole world. Why should a Mexican have a greater right to be an American than some other deserving soul from say Chad. So the way I see it is ....if someone is not chasing you with a butcher knife than wait in line just like everyone else.

Iâ??ve been to Panmunjeom and the JSA/DMZ and South Koreanâ??s donâ??t have to worry about fleeing millions of North Koreans because North Korean soldiers would shoot them in the back if they tried. Thatâ??s not exactly Mr. Foxâ??s solution he gives them maps and tips on how to violate our sovereignty.

I think employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants should be severally punished. If you stop making it beneficial to them they will stop doing it.

I have no way of knowing if the fine Mexican at the pizza joint is illegal or not. It is left up to the employer to check his documentation.

I have been to Mexico and I also know that you can buy a Mexican official with a ham sandwich if he's hungry enough.

I also don't think we should warehouse illegal immigrants in jail. The fact that they are in jail tells me that illegally crossing the border was not their one any only time they committed a crime in this country.

Our independence and civil war came at a steep price for us as well but we still did it.

Alright, I see your point, but you also have to understand that I'm somewhat for sending illegal immigrants back to their country. I think, first of all, we should widen the amount of illegal immigrants that are allowed in this country every year. Plus, I think instead of giving money to support Vincente Fox's regime, it should be used to help the Mexican people, whether it be through the school systems, etc. Or even using the money we anually give to Vincente Fox to clean up the LA school system. You have to admit, right now there are just too many problems with the American and Mexican systems, and to me, it seems just sending these people back to their country will do more harm than good.

I do agree about stiffer penalties, though, but I believe that the people who run this country (not the president, the REAL people who run the country, big business) see it to be more profitable to keep illegal aliens illegal and uneducated. Seriously, in America we have a school system that caters to the well-to-do, and a culture based around keeping youths stupid (for reference see: Lil' Jon) and to me, that's the worst part about this fiasco.

here is a story that sums up my feelings towards our governments ability or lack there of to enforce our immigration/deportation laws.

an illegal mexican in my city was charged with 4 DUI's. released everytime. never had a license or registration or anything. they just let him go. one day he does it again and drives over the dividing line hitting a minivan with a mom/dad and 4 kids. only the youngest girl survived. why was this piece of shit not deported.

i just dont think illegals should get all comfortable and start screaming about their rights. you dont have the same rights as a U.S. citizen. so many rape our country and take advantage of our our liberties when they have no right to enjoy them. wait in line with everybody else.
