And what would the world be like if people couldn't flee their homeland b/c of unfair conditions. Thousands more Jews would have been killed by the Nazis, 2.5 million currently displaced in countries surrounding Darfur (Chad) would have been just other victims to the bullet along with the 300,000 that have already gone down in the past 3 years. And with America's founding thoughts to base the nation on, I think we can occupy hard working Mexicans that are currently vital to our society's economy.

Mexican are not leaving Mexico to escape religious or ethnic persecution. They are leaving for economic reasons. I would say that if they believe that their conditions are so â??unfairâ?� than perhaps THEY should change that factâ?¦through revolution if necessary. If every illegal immigrant in the US decided to stay in their homeland and fight for change than change would happen.

They reason why Americanâ??s wonâ??t work in those jobs is because the wages are unfair not because we think were to good for it. The wages are unfair because the workforce is illegal and bosses can pay whatever they like.

Hard working AMERICAN business owners who choose to obey the law and hire legal labor canâ??t compete because their competitors can under bid them because they use illegal labor.

Yeah you might have to pay an extra dollar for your lettuce but how much would you save on medical, school, uninsured motorist, and jail/prison expenses.

Mexico needs to get their own shit straight.

IMO the reasons you can flee from your homeland transcend beyond just religous reasons: communist gov't (are fleeing N. Koreans stopped by the country of destination), poor economic conditions, etc. And there would be no America if you say people should fight for change in their homeland. And yes, companies are exploiting the illegal immigrants, shouldn't they be held responsible? you still give money to the people that employ them (pizza, landscape); you shouldn't be supporting them (this is all hypothetical; given you eat pizza and your grass grows).

It's not just Mexicans. Many of the new immigrants do not want to learn the language, expect everything to be handed to them on a platter, want dual citizenship, new laws that infringe upon others, everything for free, and more.

I live in a city with over 120 ethnic groups, and if I were "racist", or did not like diversity, I would move. It gets annoying, though, when you cannot even communicate with half the people you work with (and sometimes for!). I enjoy spending a little time on my lunch hour, in NYC, helping tourists with limited language skills find their way around. But, come on, we've got people that have been here for 20 or more years that can't speak English, much less read or write it, at all - and then there are the people that were BORN here that are just as bad, or worse.

This has been going on for some time - and itâ??s only getting worse. I don't mean to make scapegoats out of any one group - there are many that are not "melting" very well, if at all.

Yes I understand that there are many reasons why someone may want to flee their homeland. But I equate illegal immigration with cutting in line and not just in front of other Mexicans but butting in front of the whole world. Why should a Mexican have a greater right to be an American than some other deserving soul from say Chad. So the way I see it is ....if someone is not chasing you with a butcher knife than wait in line just like everyone else.

Iâ??ve been to Panmunjeom and the JSA/DMZ and South Koreanâ??s donâ??t have to worry about fleeing millions of North Koreans because North Korean soldiers would shoot them in the back if they tried. Thatâ??s not exactly Mr. Foxâ??s solution he gives them maps and tips on how to violate our sovereignty.

I think employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants should be severally punished. If you stop making it beneficial to them they will stop doing it.

I have no way of knowing if the fine Mexican at the pizza joint is illegal or not. It is left up to the employer to check his documentation.

I would like very much to be able to grow my own grass : )

It's just one planet(Mars). Nobody is stopping the Mexican't gov. from having its own space program(illegals in space!?). Is not Mexico older than the U.S? Don't blame us for your problems. So much for "Mexican pride".

What I am concerned about with all the illegal Mexican't are people will look at Mexicans and connect it with criminal behavior. I lived in Denver for ten years and I knew people who would not drive behind, in front of, or next to, because there was a good chance that they were illegals and had no driver's lic. OR insurance so if there's an crash GUESS who pays??????
