yeah, such a dick that california taxpayers alone had to foot the bill for a 500 million dollar loss from illegals skipping out on their medical bills and another 300 million in arizona...all in 2004...one year! now multiply that by all the other years not included along with all the other things government provides illegals that taxpayers pay for and maybe you'll see what all the fuss is about...then there's the open border-terrorism issue along with all the smuggling and throughout the southwest there's a problem with illegals not having vehicle insurance and skipping out when they damage property, or worse!. what is there to argue about here?

Second, ill have to agree with jeff up there, they had the chance to get Citizienship over the time of years, hell some have been here 20+ years and still haven't got there ass up and tryed at least to get leagalised.

If they were to ever announce that they are currently living in the US if and when they attempt to get their citizenship they will be deported immediately unless they have amnesty. It's not easy to get citizenship, and if they did many places wouldn't hire them because they would have to pay them above minimum wage.

and we're also paying for things that happened because of Katrina. Whose fault was that, the government's. If the government revised the healthcare program, including healthcare for illegal immigrants in emergency situations, along with homeless, and the poor. EVERYONE should have healthcare: CANADA!.... so close but so far for human rights... so basically if the US changed their healthcare programs you wouldnt foot the bill for 800 million.

As for the open-border terrorism issue, then wouldn't we have to close the canadian border as well? A while back a terrorist who was planning a bombing in LA was stopped at the canadian border. Besides, are there not illegal aliens of different backgrounds other than hispanic living in LA? I've noticed a lot of people from the Middle East around here, del. You know you have, too. Surely not everyone working at the 711's are legal citizens. Both sides of the spectrum.
