How tall do normal plants get?

I know it differs from strain to strain, and it's just a choice if your growing inside, but I'm trying to figure out how much I will get from mine. I don't know what kind they are or anything, just making a really rough guess, but I was gonna let mine get from 3ft-6ft probably. I have 3, but dunno if they are males or females. Should i top them, or is that bad? I've heard that it both increases and decreases yields from 2 different places.

Mainly what I'm wondering is, with a normal plant, if the vegetation time is a month (thats whats normal isn't it?) how big about would the plant get?

Well I know topping it makes it more bushy, but would I get more yields by doing that, or just more branches and the same yield? It makes sense to me that I'd have more, but I heard otherwise somewhere, so I'm not sure. Mine seems like it's going to be bushy right now as it is. It's only 10 days old, but it has 3 sets of leaves already and it's only about 3 inches tall.

well you nailed it...it does differ from strain to strain. without knowing what type of plant you have, you can look for some general clues. such as, is the leaf wide and the node spacing close? you probably have a mostly indica variety which should stay relatively short and bush like. if youi have a thin leaf with long spaces between nodes, you probably have a mostly sativa variety which can get rather tall and lanky. keep in mind these are generalizations and not aet in stone. also, particular starins can stretch considerably during flowering...sometimes growing to 1.5X their vegitative stage growth hieght.

Krypto if its in day 10 from seed, you aren't going to know now.
Height is affected by many things.
Strain and lighting are the most obvious, as guerilla has said, if its sativa its tall, if its indica its short. These are just general rules of thumb, of course, you could have a cross, so it would be a mixture of both.
If your using poor lighting, your plants will grow very thin and very tall, regardless of what strain it is, because the plant is reaching for the light.
If you want it between 3-6feet, then my advice is Veg it for 2 months ( 8 weeks ) without topping it, then start flowering it.
This will virtually guarantee a tall plant. I'm on my first grow and didnt top it, I had very poor lighting untill week 7/8 from seed. Using only 1 100w mini fluro.
I'm in the third week of flowering skunk no.1 and the plant is a little over 4 feet.
The nodes are spaced out, quite a bit, check out my previous post's with pics for examples.
BTW--- if it's 10 days old, you won't know if they are male or female, you would either have to wait to see pre-flowers, (flowers that appear before you start the official flowering process) balls = male. white hairs= female.
Or start the flowering cycle and wait and see, the signs will start appearing at the top node of your plant, so be sure to watch for them.
