Surviving in the wild, could you do it?

There is a new show on tv called survivorman, the guy goes out into the woods for seven days without any food, water and shelter. He shows how to survive and keep yourself alive by making traps and eating shit like crickets and rabbit anything edible. I actually learned some stuff, but I wouldn't know enouph to survive by myself. I know one thing, whenever I go camping I always take a shitload of weed. Nothing better than blazing in front of a campfire. :stoned:

i have been schooled in the art of survival.
i have been broken and remade.
i can hang.i have been tested.
i have spent four long days and nights
all alone with a ziploc of rice an onion and a carrot
four bouillon cubes and a canteen.
    the earth will provide.
Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

I have never gone alone but want to try it. i have only gone with freinds so far, but I want the challenge going alone. How was it at night? I fear bears the most, just because I have seen them already in the wild. I know that even with a gun it might not stop them from jumping ontop of you when your sleeping.

I could do it, no problem. I've done a lot of backpacking and mountaineering and have spent months at a time living out of my backpack. 7 days would be easy. That being said, how well I, or anyone, would do depends a lot on where I was. Some places are far easier to survive in that others.

you gotta tap into your basic primitive insticts at the core to actually survive for any real amount of time in the "wild".

Id want shrooms over weed in that situation!

when you spend the night alone in the woods for the first time
    you will probobly cry.
i think you must go thru this process in order to release your fears.
i grew up in a big city and never never knew the feeling of solitude.
whenever i get stuck or need time to unwind i go on solo's
i have taken a couple of different people to experience it
but they hate being alone and see it as a waste of time.
these individuals are always stressed and easily bothered by lil things.
have some balls and just go alone.find a spot and make it home for awhile.

Ive never actually spent the night in the woods alone on purpose but i was homeless for awhile and the only place you wont get disturbed is balls deep into a forest. The only thing about being alone is when you are tryin to catch some Z's you hear every creature of the night awake and busy

    takes some gettin used to!!

I've never been scared when being by myself in the wild. At least not if I'm far enough out. Nothing out there to be scared of. Bears are more of a nuisance than anything. Hang your food and keep some good size rocks nearby to throw at 'em. They'll go away.

I've always found it much scarier to be alone in the typical drive in and park your car type of campground. I've seen some pretty weird people at those places. I was once alone at one particularly creepy campground deep in the forest near Mt. Hood, close to Portland Oregon. This place was dark even during the day and at night I was scared shitless.. I kept imagining some axe murderer who roams around campgrounds at night looking for his victims.
