    Harvesting Protocol..?

Hey guys and gals, :rasta: ,

I was about to harvest my unofficial first grow, and wanted some feedback.

I have heard so many ideas thrown around.
Like, just cut the trunk and hang it.
    Snip branches
    cut the buds right off
putting the trunk in boiling water right after snip?
waiting a few days to cut off the leaves(and if so which leaves and how close to the bud)?

I'de really just like to get the correct method and use it.
So hopefully someone suggest something and everyone either agrees or disagrees and gives a better alternative

Also, after this is harvested , im starting my FIRST OFFICIAL GROW.

Please all the help I can get will be appreciated.

    Harvesting Protocol..?

The more plant material you leave on, the longer it will take to dry. Generally, the longer it takes to dry, the better. However, if you just hang the entire plant, you run the risk of growing mold (which will ruin the entire harvest). I think the most common practice is to hang up entire branches after trimming off all the leaves.

Here is a great guide on harvesting/drying/curing. Should answer all your questions. If you have any remaining questions, feel free to ask.

And, yes, you can make oil with your trimmings. To make the highest potency oil, only use the trimmings that have trichomes (crystals) on them.

Boiling the roots does nothing. This is just myth.

    Good luck!

    Harvesting Protocol..?

for me this is the hardest part of growing.
i can wait months for the plant to be ready
but when i harvest i want to smoke so bad i waste a grip
    in the oven or microwave.
if your like me buy a sack and just wait.
the closet works well for me.
