Flowering? How?
Hello shiloh
Like Turtle says just switch over to the 12/12 cycle.
Some people prefer to gradually reduce down the lentgh of "daylight" hours, but to be honest I never bother
The other thing is make sure the plant sit's in total darkness for the "night" hours. Usually you should know the gender of the plant within two weeks, also a male will usually show itself before a female.
That's about it really

Flowering? How?
Thank you!! Mand - the only problem is that I'm going in and out of the closet and the light needed to be turn on in the room. so the closet is not in the total darkness. i can close the closet door but the closet temperature is going to be really hot...I dont have any exhausted fan just little fan blowing at the plant thats it. will this going to be a problem?

Flowering? How?
Hello shiloh
, I affraid that when on the "night" period of the 12/12 cycle the plant has to be kept in the dark without any interuptions of light at all.
Honestly any of the growers on here will tell you the same, that interuptions to the dark period will seriously effect flowering and growth of the plant.
The only thing I can think of is to have the closet door closed when the light in the room is on or prehaps use a curtain to sheild the plant from the light
