Initially I was opposed to it but after I realized how much it helps out local and upstarting bands I had to get a piece. Btw I really am interested in what you guys think about the site and its affects on the music industry as well as it's downsides... one being that it's a network for child molesters to seek out info on people victims in their area... so that's why it's in lounge, but anyways here's my site.

okay, I don't like it for these reasons:

1. in the beginning, it was cool because it was used mainly as a kick-starter for unknown/underground bands. Now that seems to be shadowed by the millions of young teenagers wanting to "keep in touch" with friends across the sandbox, or even worse, people signing up just because everyone else is (and you KNOW there are people like that)
2. the fact that anyone can view someone's page. Makes it so much easier for stalkers to see your info. It wouldn't be hard to let only someone's friend list to be able to view the page. Hmmm..

It's just not for me. I don't want to spend hours of the day updating my myspace page so a couple people might leave me a cute message on my wall. No thanks

My friend made me one a while back because he wanted to have more buddys or whatever and I went on it like twice. It is really retarded and extremely boring. But yeah I found a few good bands on there.

I use myspace as a way to find out about parties/bands/raves I also use the groups for drug/html/music/technical/video game support

There is a place similar to myspace but for raver! Ravematch.com! its a great site not for the gayness of the types of pages but you meet a TON of people at parties and its great to keep in touch with them! plus the site has listings for like every single party going on in america
