Take a better look at the packaging for those CFLS.
2600 lumens sounds closer to 45W while 1600 is probably 25W. They market them by showing the wattage required by a standard bulb to match the CFL output.
You are going to need a lot more. You will get desired results from a few small plants under 125-200W total watts. Around 6500K spectrum for veg and around 2700 for flowering stages.
Of course, you need money to grow.

lol...money ? whats that stuff....ya you need a little more light I would think and some mylar... keep them short , them lights wont go to deep , and if it was me , i would tie a few main branches down on each plant a little to spread it open a little , you WILL get more bud this way ... How many plants you even have ? if its like 2 or 3 a 250 HID light aint THAT much, get a kit and you will double what your trying to do with them CLF's

PSYCHO is that like week #2-3 you will have the seedlings and week #4-5 Veg and so forth? or do you mean like 2-3 weeks on the seedlings and then another 4-5 weeks veg?
How much would a HID kit cost and would this be abig thing to get, i'm actually in a room the size of a dorm in comparison to size. would this be too big for an area liek this?
I personally have 3 plants for myself and i have about another 15 planst starting to grow for someone else that they are taking off my hands today, it made me mad cause i left the light on and watered them before i had to leave soemwhere over th weekend and now the light was off for someo reason probably on of my roommates and they are stretching pretty bad, but they're not mine so they'll have to deal with their starters themselves.
Thanks for the info guys

Good luck on your grow man!
P.S. Just brake your piggy bank and get a HPS!Later on, you upgrade to a MH for veg..
edit: maybe a little taller than a foot..

Hey Growin.
You definitely dont want to water everyday.
you lights are fine.. it would be best to add 2-4 more 150 watt CFL's
the confusion with the CFL's is this... a 150watt cfl has 150 watts OUTPUT... but it supposedly consumes only 42 watts... but it is the same light bulb..

Wow just look at that thread VERY NICE and very interesting. So where did you get 10$ 150 watt bulbs for 5$??? ha ha would liekto see that so since i have 2-3 plants i should have about 8 bulbs? or is that too much and i need to have them how close to the plants? you said the tips were burned on yours is that ok?
Thanks again

HID kits vary in price... in depends on the area which you are growing. I am currently starting up my 2nd grow and ive decided to go the HPS route. For the ballast, hood and light bulb (1000 watt) at my local hydroponics store im looking at approx. $300 CAD... so closer to $250 USD. 1000 watts HID should easily light a 4' x 4' to 5' x 5' area... hope this helps
peace and good luck with the grow,
froze,
P.S. I know that HID looks like a lot more expensive than fluoro, but my 1st grow was with fluoros and as the saying goes "You only get out what you put in" so I would rather invest a few bills and get a few thou in chron out.
