I am doing a single plant in a 4 gal pot right now under a 250 HPS. Doing the SCRog method, plant was 4 weeks from seed on Friday, will be 4 weeks above the soil on Wednesday. The intermediate growth is now starting to really grow, but the tops are still not close enough to the screen for me to train. Screen is about 8 inches from the base of the plant, about 2-1/2 inches from the tops of the stems. All the growth is pretty much to the leaves and not the stems and seems to bet getting nicely bushy; i topped it last week. the top of the plant is 22 inches from the bottom of the light, i placed it that far a few days ago to get that intermediate growth to stretch so i can train it into the screen. My question: should I have it that far in hopes of those stems stretching and growing to the screen, or should i have it closer to the light right now so that they get more light and grow more? See what im saying? Keep in mind, once they are trained into the screen i will be movin the plant right up to anywhere from 12-18 inches from the light. Thanks for any help, I appreciate the professionals' advice
