hi folks, am in the south of england grew last year outdoor and had ok success with a bit of a mish mash of different seeds, want to get some good quality seeds for this year....again it will be outdoors. any advice, suggestions please leave me a message...thanx

She a very cool grower... from the UK. She has the super-amazing grows, and they're all very SIMPLE. Nothing complicated.

I'm telling you to get a hold of her because I've read that she buys her seeds in a "fair" during the weekend? Fair or "market" or something similar. So, I'm sure she'll help you.

Well I like outdoor grows but I'm affraid for "security" I have to really keep indoors

My personal favourites are the RUDERALIS INDICA and the MEXICAN SATIVA. Both grow very well in our climate and relatively short growing season.

You can order them online or if you check out the local Sunday markets or growshops I'm sure you will find them

hey mand would you say starting an outdoor grow would be better with a clone of my indoor white widow or just start from a seed

Hello busteruk7 , I honestly don't know. I always start from seeds so I couldn't say if a clone would be of an adavantage

I'll just give a brief description of the outdoor crop I did, if that's ok


I germinated ten Ruderalis Indica and ten Mexican Sativa idoors at the end of April. I gave them about two weeks in the window sill in the house, this did cause some amount of streching so I just supported them with sticks.
Anyway I planted them outside in a really well prepared vegitable patch in the garden, I riddled out all the big lumps and dug in plenty of nice fresh compost and horse muck, this was around the second week in May.
They actually grew much better than I expected, the Ruderalis were quite small and bushy but the Mexican Stavia grew very tall, they ended up at over six feet by harvest time. To be honest if I grew them again I would pinch/top them to try and keep the height down a little ........... make them more of a "bush"

As they started to show their gender I just cut the males down as soon as they showed themselves and in total I ended up with twelve females.
They were harvested at the beinging of October but the problem was "bud rot" due to the damp and humid conditions, inparticular the Ruderalis were affected worse by bud rot than the Stavia.


One thing I would do if outdoor growing again is to put them in tubs/pots rather than into the ground. This way they could be moved around the garden to "catch" the sun throughout the summer

Hello again busteruk , on the Ruderalis it was quite bad, from what I remember now I would guess at around 20% of their buds were lost to the rot.
The Stavia wasn't as bad for some reason, I don't know why ? ............... there was prehaps about 5-10% loss of bud on those.
The thing is once bud has rot there is nothing you can do about it but just cut it out, I was probably a bit slow at recgonising it as well due to it being my very first grow
It really is just down to the weather conditions that cause it, British Summers do tend to be very humid and sometimes very wet .

i know what ya mean well thanks for the info mand that will help me when i get started outside
i took 3 clones tonight so in a few weeks they should ready for planting outside
