respect question
Not only would it be amazingly disrespectful.. but you're damaging the value of these Ivory pipes by doing so.. Have they been smoked out of before? are they antique's? this one was kind of a no brainer really.. if she'd left the pipes to you.. maybe.. but the fact is that she didn't.. she left them to your mother.

Id support it if its cool with your mom, considering they were left to her by her mother, but if she was cool with it id be all about it, everytime you picked it up youd think of your grandmother and im sure shed like to know that you were thinkin about her, while doing something you enjoy as much as smoking pot.

respect question
Hmmm its getting really tempting. They wer'nt my Grandmothers, they were one of her friends, whom my mother was reasonably close to. I questioned mum about the ivory collectables and she said they are worth nothing, this is because ivory is now illegal here in Australia, you can not buy, sell or bring any into the country AND they have been smoked out of before, just not weed...well im guessing not weed. So it wouldn't effect the price of them, my mum wouldn't sell them anyway.
Mum would not let me smoke out them....she does not accept smoking tabbacco at all and she is VERY against Marijuana. I respect my Mother yet i still smoke weed. These would be cool pipes to smoke out of...and i dont think my mum would ever know.
Considering that the pipes arnt worth anything....can i have some more opinions on whether i should smoke out of one of them?

NO.. there is no such thing as respect..
BUT, there is a reality that you could smoke from those pipes and then your mom and dad whoop your arse..

I wouldn't give half a shit, I'd do it anyday if I had the chance. I've been wanting to try different methods of smoking for awhile. Joints and foilies are all I've touched, other than a very small blunt, I guess that's called a roach. It was about a half an inch, maybe an inch.

I'm with the don't-do-it crowd. If they were yours, it'd be different. But they belong to someone who wouldn't want you smoking weed anyway, much less out of something that belonged to her beloved mom. Can't you just get yourself a nice pipe of your own and smoke out of that? Raise a bowl in honor of both your mom and grandmom, since of course it is about to be Mother's Day, and congratulate yourself for not having stepped over those boundaries. Someday your mom will probably leave those pipes to you, and then you can do what you want. . .
