Marijuana for the elderly
My grandmother has recently been in a lot of pain because of an old back surgery (she broke her back 20 or so years ago). She cannot take codeine (sp?) and can't even stand or sit properly. I wouldn't in a million years ask her to try smoking pot. But I'm considering making some cookies with some bubble hash. I've never baked with hash before, how much (approximately) should I be putting into the cookies in order to alleviate her pain?
Thanks a lot,

if the quality of hash is very good, and bubble hash is, for your g-ma i would say not more than 1-2 g's sparsed out into whatever your making. just see if she likes it at first, and you can see if she needs more. good luck.

You need to present her with evidence that marijuana works and can be good for her. Here's a couple to get you started- http://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=...m_format=print It's how smoked pot helps regular pain medicines work better. And since osteoporosis is a problem for us older gals (I'm 58 and my bone density went UP this year and guess what I smoke daily?) http://www.sciencedaily.com/print.ph...0104232013.htm
also http://www.israelnationalnews.com/pr...=news&id=96146
and although it is likely too late to help, these articles are interesting. http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?Group...m_format=print They tell how pot can grow new nerve cells, protect nerves from degenerationg and also that pot doesn't mess your mind up permanently- it just gets you stoned. Going in armed with scientific reports can help. Also get her to check out medical marijuana sites (treatingyourself.com is one of the best) and let her see that mmj users are not a bunch of exhippies just trying to get stoned. We are people driven by pain to break an unfair law. You might want to try asking her about smoking it- argue that it is easier to control dosage, you get speedier relief and it doesn't cause cancer like tobacco! Maybe if she had someone about her own age talk to her about it? If she wants, I'll even chat with her over at Treating Yourself ( I'm there every day, but only drop in here every 3 days or so). I'm Storm Crow there, too. Have her PM me. She and I can have a nice chat. Good luck.\"If the truth won\'t do, then something is wrong!\"

You should be able to find some recipes on some of the cannabis websites. Perhaps you can have her sit next to you while you do some research and help guide her through any questions she may have.
Your post brought fond memeories of my own Grandmother to me. Thankyou:thumbsup: I miss her dearly.
