China to impose online IDs for gamers

THE AUTHORITIES in China are introducing a scheme in June which will allow parents to find out how much time their kids are spending playing games.
According to the People's Daily, kids will use an ID card before they can start playing games.

The "public security department" will verify the information online and if there's hanky panky, gamers stand to lose their ranking.

China has 111 million Internet users, said the Peeps, and 20 million online gamers.
