Ok the problem I have with this theory (the only one) is that it when you talk of the solar meridian crossing the galactic equator and the earth aligning itself with the center of the galaxy. Now these are huge distances and I just doupt that they can measure or predict that acurately. I'm not saying it can't happen just that theres would seem to be a huge amount of error that goes along with a calculation like that.

But if "we are moving in understanding from a 'binary' cosmology in which a thing is true or it is not, to a 'holistic' (whole) cosmology in which a thing is true and false at the same moment- depending solely on one's perspective." then the errors wouldn't matter.

its funny how end of the world/massive global change/fire and brimstone prophecies are always for about 5-10years in the future.....just close enough to get people worried, but just far enough away for the person/group making the claims to exploit them for fame/money.....

people have been milking this shit for hundreds of years - here's a few failed predictions from the past 20 years.....

Pat Robertson predicted a few years in advance that the world would end in the fall of 1982.

Astronomers John Gribben & Setphen Plagemann predicted the "Jupiter Effect" in 1974. They wrote that when various planets were aligned on the same side of the sun, tidal forces would create solar flares, radio interruptions, rainfall and temperature disturbances and massive earthquakes. The planets did align as seen from earth, as they do regularly. Nothing unusual happened.

Arnold Murray of the Shepherd's Chapel predicted that the war of Aramageddon will start on 1985-JUN 8-9 in "a valley of the Alaskan peninsula."

Moses David of The Children of God faith group predicted that the Battle of Armageddon would take place in 1986. Russia would defeat Israel and the United States. A worldwide Communist dictatorship would be established. In 1993, Christ would return to earth.

Lester Sumrall, in his 1987 book "I Predict 2000 AD" predicted that Jerusalem would be the richest city on Earth, that the Common Market would rule Europe, and that there would be a nuclear war involving Russia and perhaps the U.S. Also, he prophesized that the greatest Christian revival in the history of the church would happen: all during the last 13 years of the 20th century. All of the predictions failed.

Hal Lindsey had predicted in his book "The Late, Great Planet Earth" that the Rapture was coming in 1988 - one generation or 40 years after the creation of the state of Israel. This failed prophecy did not appear to damage his reputation. He continues to write books of prophecy which sell very well indeed.

Alfred Schmielewsky, a psychic whose stage name was "super-psychic A.S. Narayana," predicted in 1986 that the world's greatest natural disaster would hit Montreal in 1988. Sadly, his psychic abilities failed him on 1999-APR-11 when he answered the door of his home only to be shot dead by a gunman.

Edgar Whisenaut, a NASA scientist, had published the book "88 Reasons why the Rapture will Occur in 1988." It sold over 4 million copies.

Michael Drosnin, author of "The Bible Code," found a hidden message in the Pentateuch (the first five books in the Bible) that predicts that World War III, involving a worldwide atomic [sic] holocaust, will start in 2000 (or perhaps 2006).

Yeah but this is a prediction that was made 5,000+ years ago. It corresponds to a date set by the mayans, aztecs, hopi, hindus (and many more)

The mayans said the calender began with "The Birth Of Venus" for a long time people were clueless what this meant, until we looked at how earth intersects with Venus. 2012 Is the end of the cycle of The Transit Of Venus. Look it up.

a Transit of Venus occurred in 1518 and 1526. This was the period when Cortez landed on the shores of the Yucatan and wound up conquering the Aztec empire. The next transit was in 1631-â??39. It was followed by a complete stoppage of the sunspot cycle, which lasted for 70 years (science has no explanation for this event). The â??little ice ageâ?? occurred between 1645 and 1720. What do we find associated with the next transit in 1761-â??69? We discover the birth of the American Revolution.

The transit of Venus is just one facet of their advanced astrological calender. Notice also the correlation between sunspots/flares and events.


The Venus Transit will trigger the demise of the 5th Sun and set the stage for the next cycle, the 6th Sun. That is the physical side of the Maya 5th Sun forecast. Unlike many predictions this one is built into the Maya calendar and it can be verified with some historical research. Is the world going to end in a violent crescendo of natural disasters and impacts from cosmic objects? I do not think that is likely nor is it what the Maya predicted.

However, a prolonged period of change is on the horizon that will be ushered in by the 2004 â?? 2012 â??passageâ??. It will culminate in the galactic alignment and complete the precessional cycle at that point.
