Those who see a wrong and have the power to correct it, have a responsibility to take action. This is the same reason why I'd act if I knew a neighbor was beating his kids, for example.

Besides, this is not a new attitude. Even Slick Willie had this attitude when the polls told him to. He just didn't have nuts to take it all the way and most of the time he handed our sovereignty to the UN and NATO (Kosovo, Somalia, etc.)

Then explain why some countries such as Rhwanda have been left to suffer?
America will only intervene if it benefits America, explain how Pinochet gained power against a democratically elected "communist" leader.
Please get your facts right and don't try to pull the wool over anyones eyes the US is not the saviour of the world and never will be, nor does anyone want them to try to police what other nations are doing.
You really want to clean something up then I think they should start with their own backyard . More than a year, after people are still homeless because they haven't fixed up the damage that Katrina did , surely that should take priority for all Americans?
