    TDS AND PH meters

I just got a PH meter and TDS meters. I am using distilled water that comes with a PH of 7.4 and TDS of 002 PPM. I am using Floragrow and floramicro nutrients- the instructions say 1/4 tsp of each for seedlings i added it and stired it. The PH went to 6.6 and TDS went to 123. am i doing this correctly - i saw a video that said the TDS should be 10-12 for seedlings -- does anyone know of a good faq for TDS and PH.

heard the same thing .....ph 6.6 isnt bad though ...some people say 6.0 others 6.8 ....ph is ok ......I dont know about no 10-12 for seedlings but mine is at 46 and everything is fine so im thinking 123 maybe a little high ...and take what everyone says with a grain of salt ....what might work for one person might bomb for you ...never know ...

For seeds I prefer to use just RO water only. You should not try to feed them until they have roots established. There is a chart in the FAQ with Ph numbers and available nutrients at variable Ph levels you may find helpful.

If you do use RO water or distilled water then yes you do need to add back some nutrients the RO process removes. As Karmaxul said you need to add CalMag Plus to the water.
