no shit? That's not bad at all. The house I was looking at down the street was just over 1000 sq feet and asking price is 195000. I think it may allready be sold

Is the house market crazy in Ohio too?
I know here in Alberta, the house I live in, that I bought off my folks, they paid about $165,000 for it. After living here for 7yrs, they sold it to me for much less. Now the house I now own I could sell for around $250,000. All we've done to it is piant it every 3 yrs, keep it up to date, and built a new deck, that's all.
My Oma who lives in Lethbridge paid $4500 for a house in the 1950's. It is falling apart and very, very, very old. She has been offered $150,000 for her place, not the house, but just the land by itself.
I'd hate to be a person looking for new homes these days. Poory made and waaaaay overpriced. Luckily I got a sweet pad for under $100,000.

well where i've chose to live, there are hardly any old houses. The whole place seems to have been created in the last 10 - 15 yrs. You're hard pressed to find a house that over 10 years old. They're all new, nice and a little pricy.

I don't know what the houses are made with in FL, but here, all the new homes look the exact same. They're all covered on the outside with that cheap, vinyl stuff. It looks so boring, so suburban.
The house I live in was built in the 70's and the one I grew up in, which is still in my family, was built in the 1920's.
I just can't believe people pay over 200grand for a vinyl house, with shitty craftmanship. The house fires here are mostly caused by an electrical fire. Commonly in newer, still developing homes.

I'm in between, not poor but not even close to being rich. more poor then rich. on a scale of 1 to 10, I'm porably 3.5 if that makes sense.
