There is no God. Even if there was one, he would love everybody equally and not favor one country over another. He wouldn't be up there saying "I know I love humanity and all, but I really love those people who live in the large swath of land between the 49th parallel, the Rio Grande River, the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Oh, and the guys in Alaska and Hawaii".

If our accomplishments mean God likes us more, then the starvation in poverty and Ethiopia means God hates Ethiopia more. And God must love the Germans more than the Jews, because Germany is a strong economic power and has been a major player in world affairs for a long time, while Jews were almost wiped out in Europe during the Holocaust and Israel hasn't caught up to Germany in industrial and technological development.
