    good mother technique?

So, I'm probably going to have an extra clone, so I was thinking it's time to start a mother. What I'm wondering, is since I'm not going to flower it ever, is it ok to grow it in soil rather than hydro and do a smaller pot, such as a 1 gallon? I just need to keep it healthy and get decent cuttings occasionally, not get enormous growth :-)

    good mother technique?

I run my mothers in 2 gallon pots and dont start trimming until atleast on foot. I take the top off at one foot and bush her out. The top clone makes a great mother. They stay 2 feet and you get say 10 clones a month off one.
