i just started triying this 1 month ago. every time i buy an eighth, i put 1 fifth of it in another bag, and save it to see how big i can get the sack.

i was wondering how long weed lasts in a ziplock?, and is weed gross when its old?

Nope, and im trying to do the same thing man. But everytime you pick up it might not be the same strain... Thats good though, gives you some variety.

I've done this too. What I did, however, was to store it in a vacuum sealed bag. I've had bud stored in there for over a year and it is pretty much just as good as the day I bought it. Vaccum sealers are pricey though and if you don't already have one I wouldn't go and spend the money just for weed.

Another option that is better than a ziplock is to get one of those jars that have a rubber gasket and a clamp that you lock down. That's mine in the picture. They're pretty much airtight and work really well. You can pick one up for a couple of bucks.

yea, fengzi has the right idea. regular sandwich bags may trap stale air and moisture and age the bud in a bad way. I've known people who do this and i did it for a while, but I always just ended up smoing my regular bag too fast because I had a 'backup'.

i used to put my nugget into plastic bags and then one time i got busted and stashed it all for a couple months. When i got the bud back it was really dry but we just ground it all up to a fine powder and packed it all (like an 1//8) into the bong and got really really baked. Old bud always seems to get me more stoned, i don't know why that is, or if its just in my head even

Old bud always gets me stoned too. I believe that most of the bud I buy is pretty damn fresh and by keeping it for sometimes a month or more, it has time to cure which makes it a better smoke IMO.

plastic leaks air...use a glass jar instead. preferably a fruit/mason jar or one with a rubber seal. bud kept in a jar stored in a cool, dark place (like the fridge-not the freezer!) will last a long time...years even.

Unless you know how old the weed is when it gets to you I wouldnt save it lol. One week I had this one sack and it was really green with alot of crystals shining if you put it in the sun then a week later when I go in my drawer it's half brown and half green, I was pissed.

ya i have one of those glass containers that fengzi has, and that seems to be the most reccomended, so i will use it. i cant store it in the fridge though because my dad goes in there on a normal basis. That would be cool if i had a mini fridge in my room, but not enough money.

This bud saving will be very hard, and i need self control, but i belive i will make a gigantic sack by this, so im down.

same here. i was just bout to say that about old bud. it feels stronger. maybe its like wine...
