Vitamin C
Theres a lot of talk about Vitamin C and drug use, and I'm not to sure as to the accuracy of it all. I am not a scientist so if anyone has scientific evidence saying anything other than what I say please present it.
I have heard many people and countless threads say that Vitamin C makes drugs more intense, especially psylocybe mushrooms, acid, and MDMA.
People are confusing Vitamin C and Citric Acid here. "Vitamin C" is scientifically known as ascorbic acid. Citric acid is found in citrus fruits along with vitamin C. Vitamin C is also in other vegetables.
Mixing orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, etc. with shrooms makes shrooms more powerful because the citric acid found in these fruits breaks down the shrooms much more than just eating it would. That is why the longer you leave mushroom powder sitting in pure lemon juice the more potent it will be when you ingest it. The juices mentioned have a very low ph. If you were to eat a vegetable with vitamin C with the shrooms that would not make the shrooms more powerful, at most it would make your comedown a little bit better, and that is why orange juice is valued in conjunction with MDMA.
MDMA has a fairly harsher comdown in my opinion than shrooms does, so many find something to combat that. Drinking any type of juice rich in vitamins and minerals would help this to some degree. It replenishes your body quicker than just naturally letting your body do its thing.
I do not believe that Vitamin C makes acid any stronger, nor does drinking orange juice with it. It simply makes the comedown a little better.
It is actually the acidic nature of vitamin C nutrient juices that causes you to have a stronger mushroom trip, and it is the vitamin C that causes a nicer comedown after taking or doing anything.LegallyBlind Reviewed by LegallyBlind on .
