I need some serious help. The bottom leaves of my 3 week old plants are turning yellow, drying up and dying. I used to water every other day, then every third day, now every fourth day. What do you think it is? I haven't fertilized them yet. I have them 2" away from two 100w cfls. I killed my first batch with too much fert. Should I fert now???? Please help !! Why is this so difficult???

i used 3 month miracle grow and mines r great do you have holes where water leaks out?

Im on my first grow, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but mt fan leaves have been dying since about their 3rd week (from the bottom up). My secondary growth still looks good and the plant is really healthy. I dont think its a problem at all. A more experienced grower might say otherwise, but i dont think lower leaves are all that important after a certain point. Good luck.

Oh yea, Im using a 85w cfl and 4 tubes, so we have like the same grow goin. I also didnt use fert till 6 weeks in. Holla @ yo boi.

Yes, I have holes for drainage in the bottom of the cups

my planst 4 weeks old and its doing the same thing i mpritty shure its because new fanleaves replace teh old ones so they use up allteh energy stored in the old fan leafs and the newer pnes take over becaus they have more light 3 weeks old and ur still in cups trans plant now

and your not over watering think about it y would over watering result in teh leaves drying up go back to 200 ml evey other day

It's normal for the bottom leaves to yellow and die. No worries.

Normaly the first leaves, and some of the fan leaves die off as the plant gets bigger, because it concentrates is energy to the top, where the cola is so it'll be ready for flowering. Are probably should start ferting, but remember to keep it minimal for now, and increase it as you go, very slowly. Dont shock the plant.

Here are a few picture of my 3 week old plants. They look pretty sad. Any other advice re: the yellow look of them, please let me know. Thanks. Sorry the quality of the pictures isn't so hot. I tried to get a good shot. If you cannot see, all the leaves are turning yellow. I'm transplanting them & adding fert.:stoned:
