I'm just afride he'll touch/eat the wrong plant!
I love the IPOD docking station thingy that way we can chill with the tunes
    in my back pack!
I find I walk much longer and take less breaks when I'm hiking to Bob Marley etc:thumbsup:

This is my first time attempting to put a picture on here. I hope it worked, but in case it didn't here is a link to the picture: http://www.olsenart.com/images/YOSEM...ebclassic8.jpg

...This is where I hike... the valley is about a 20 minute drive from my house.
The cool thing about smoking is it turns wherever you are into the perfect spot in the world.

I love hiking and smoking. esp. when its next to a stream or creek.
That's one reason I moved to Alaska. Got tired of having to drive 1 hour to get to the woods.
I love to "trail blaze" I mentioned that to my older brother and he was like "huh?" I explained, he tried it, now he loves it! I usually walk the trail for a mile or so and then go off the trail.

Has anyone else hike to the source of a creek/stream? I love it! Or atleast in Colorado. Usually its a spring under a pile of rocks.

I've been thinking about going out again once the weather gets nice but wasn't too sure. I'm just worried about introducing her too soon and having her wind up hating it. Did your little girsl have a good time?

If Im remembering the article in Backpacker correctly, I think they said at age 7 or so they can hike their age.

Its been 30+ or so but I still have vivid memories of hiking the AT with my parents- only a couple of miles though nothing heavy.....

You want to jump off Glacier Point??? Ouch

Do you remember back in 1999 when they had that big rockslide at Glacier Point and one climber was killed? ( http://www.cnn.com/US/9906/14/rockslide/ ) I was right there when it happened. My wife and I had just come out of the store in Curry Village when we heard this rumble and people started running everywhere. We looked up towards glacier point and saw this big cloud of pulverized granite dust coming at us. It was total chaos and by the time we got to our car it had a thick layer of the dust all over it, not to mention all over us as well. Crazy shit.

longest ive done in winter was a 3 day 30 mile hike
no people out thats the best part.

I'm thinking of finding a nice trail down San Diego way
    Del Mar or La Jolla
I've heard there's some real sweet caves in the OC @ Corona Del Mar state beach. across from the Wedge.
Life's so nice with a different perspective
I look forward to the next day I can Trail Blaze with my pal The Nagual
