So what, driving on the freeway or at a high speed for a certain amount of time distorts your perception of speed once you get off.

I know this isn't aimed at me but could you please explain why you wrote this about the statement

I could maybe accept stoned drivers but there is not a cat in hells chance of me ever thinking anything but 'asshole' about drunk drivers.Have you not seen the many results of drink driving?Maybe you are the idiots that think it wont happen to you.I hope you don't have to live with the death of a person, or even worse a child's death on your hands

When I was in highschool, two kids died because of alcohol and driving, one of them was the victim who died on the way to hang out with the rest of my senior class after she graduated, one of them killed a father of 3 and himself. There is no such thing as a good drunk driver, only a lucky one... and luck always runs out eventually.

I wouldn't say that I drive better when high, but I still drive pretty damn good. All of my tickets have been gotten while high. It doesn't mean I was driving bad, I was too busy watching other drivers than my speed. All 8 times (I think 8, maybe more) I was pulled over, the cops either suspected nothing or didn't care. It all depends on how good of a driver you are I think. Now, I said I drive high. I've never got really really stoned where I feel odd and drove. it's just dumb. Also, someone should note that driving sleep impaird is prolly if not more dangerous than driving high.

I got popped for a DUI (only time i drink in the whole fucking year) and it was only because my taillight cover was cracked with red tape over it and it was in the town that cops hate me...can you fucking believe that...just my luck i had spilt some tequila on my shorts...busted! Asshole pig had the nerve to make a joke and say, "well if that tail light woulda been fixed you woulda made it home haha"

I was at a .18 by the time they tested me and i was driving fine

i for one do not trust myself in driving stoned. i can do it when i am coming off the high, but not without concentrating very hard. my mind just wanders too far and my reactions are delayed too much for me to be responsible on the road. ive never been in an accident related to my driving stoned-but thats because i have only done it a few times. and each time i didnt enjoy it.

I read a small review of a study once... they tested aircraft pilots from major airlines.

They tested their reflexes under
A- normal
B- caffeine
C- THC

I don't quite remember how they supplemented the THC to the pilots... I guess it was some sort of controlled-amount pills or something...

Anyways, pilots with cannabis in their system where better than the caffeinated pilots, and better than the normal pilots.

I remember the lead-researcher's thoughts on the subject: In essence, he would rather have a cannabis-using pilot than a caffeine-using pilot.

most of the time I am just fine driving stoned. If anything more carefull and less likely to get road rage at the crappy idiot drivers out there. some people just drive like shit and think they own the road and dont have to obey traffic laws. those people should burn one before driving so they too drive more cautious. or driving with cell phones. there was a mythbusters they tested the cell pone thing and it was worse than driving drunk.
sometimes I get too paranoid to drive while high and if thats the case I dont drive. but the delay time thing while high is bullshit.
