FAN HELP
ive just bought a 150mm systemair fan and its really noisey how can i make it quieter, cos noise may be a bit of a problem for me. i dont really have much space for a silencer but i may fit one in as a last option, and plus i heard that it reduces the amount of air the fan pulls through it........if any one has any ideas or solutions plz throw them my way........

often a dimmer switch (setting your fan to a lower speed) will cause more vibration..
and more noise...
not always..

also if you're gonna be using a dimmer switch you have to get one that has the proper rating to suit your fan... You can't get a two bob switch designed for a house light cos it won't work (trust me).

FAN HELP
it works great for a smaller fart fan though.
but still noisy though, however not even half the noise of the bigger vortex fans
