Mh lighting question?
3,:dance::dance: posts... wow. I'll need another 10 years to hit that... unless... oh god no... dear no... I DONT HAVE A LIFE EITHER!!! hehe I'm just messin' with you GK.
GK, have you compared the spectrum output on the best HPS and the best MH to me it looks like the MH produces a much better spectrum. As a matter of fact the usable spectrum available with the best HPS looks rather wimpy next to the best MH. Than again you can't get any of these companies to do their spectrum analysis the same way. Some companies even move the colors away from the proper wavelengths making their analysis seem rather shady. I really want to measure the useable wavelengths of a variety of bulbs... Maybe someone has already done this... anyone...
Also from what I can tell with MH's a 400w is much more efficient than a 1kw as far as the energy used to produce an amount of light. Before I go to LED's I will be using 2 MH 400w bulbs in 2 separate cool tubes. My indoor is ScroG, btw. They will be the EYEhortilux Blue 400w (long.) I attached the company's spectral analysis of this bulb in my last post. It looks fantastic.
