Mh lighting question?
if ya go to 1000w mh you'll never use anything less again! MH flowers just as good as hps dont let anyone fool ya. as a matter of fact it's this writers opinon and thousands more that mh produces tighter buds with less space btwn interlodes. r

Mh lighting question?
Tripp, if I had to use one type of bulb from start to finish, I would go with MH.
But are you trying to say that after vegging with MH, its better to flower with MH than HPS? If so I think your trippin. Pun DEFINATELY intended

Mh lighting question?
3,:dance::dance: posts... wow. I'll need another 10 years to hit that... unless... oh god no... dear no... I DONT HAVE A LIFE EITHER!!! hehe I'm just messin' with you GK.
GK, have you compared the spectrum output on the best HPS and the best MH to me it looks like the MH produces a much better spectrum. As a matter of fact the usable spectrum available with the best HPS looks rather wimpy next to the best MH. Than again you can't get any of these companies to do their spectrum analysis the same way. Some companies even move the colors away from the proper wavelengths making their analysis seem rather shady. I really want to measure the useable wavelengths of a variety of bulbs... Maybe someone has already done this... anyone...
Also from what I can tell with MH's a 400w is much more efficient than a 1kw as far as the energy used to produce an amount of light. Before I go to LED's I will be using 2 MH 400w bulbs in 2 separate cool tubes. My indoor is ScroG, btw. They will be the EYEhortilux Blue 400w (long.) I attached the company's spectral analysis of this bulb in my last post. It looks fantastic.
FERMENT... or I'll shoot.

Mh lighting question?
Some enjoy teaching and giving free knowledge while others enjoy knocking them down as it makes them feel better about their low self esteem. Thats the difference between growers and harvesters.

Mh lighting question?
I wonder who that crap was directed at? Karmaxul, who exactly is that passive aggressive gorilla shit being slung at?
It seems to me we have a pretty free flow of knowledge here. Some say HPS some say MH each have their reasons. Have any of you more experienced cannaphiles done a side by side comparison of the best HPS and MH bulbs? Or, are you just stating an educated opinion?
The best MH's show plenty of red output on analysis. Am I wrong? As far as I can tell the best MH has better red output than any HPS. Although you can't tell by looking at it because there is so much more blue as well. In my opinion MH bulbs right now are showing better light output then HPS. If I am flat out wrong I welcome correction but I think I am going in the right direction here with my observation.
There is also the possibility that the bulb companies are full of shit. That is why I would really like to see if someone has done a comparision.
FERMENT.
