Don't do what I did last weekend (I was ripped off).
I drove with another pothead down where he normally goes. He's been ripped off much more money than me but this time we went with not much. We had $30 combined, his $10 and my $20. We found someone right away that said he could get us a few dimes. He asked for the money right away, that is a definite NO NO and I'm sure any reputable dealer would know not to do that.

Of course he was just triyng to make it easy to rip us off.

My friend said hell no here's $10, you bring us 3 dimes we'll give you the other $20. He comes back with 1 dime and says give me the other $20 and I'll be back with the other 2. We of course said fine and gave it to him. He asked my friend for a cigarette and shook our hands as if we'd never see him again. I had a bad feeling. We waited about 10 - 15 minutes on this bad street across from a house that 2 weeks earlier had a murder.

People kept walking by us in this bad neighborhood and I thought some of them were going to try to steal my car just because some would stop at the back of my car and talk to eachother and then slowly walk up to the front of my car.

Finally the guy through the window said to drive around the block. We did that and came right back and never saw him again. I know it's not worth it but I would love to go there and find the same fucker and once he realizes it's me start shooting him or maybe just hit him with a baseball bat or something a few times. It would be fun beating the shit out of that fucker.

So I guess tips would be to not give money up front and not carry much on you and not put yourself in too scary of a situation. If someone holds you up at gunpoint (a friend of mine had this happen) you'll lose your money and maybe even the contents of your wallet and possessions. Travel lightly.
