Its not a neccessity, no. But if its dark it may keep the temperature down a bit which can help with drying. But if its dark and the humidity is too high in your dryin space then the buds will get mildew. No ifs, ands, or buts, if the drying space is moist, the buds will get moldy. Once you clip them off the main stem it doesnt matter if they get light or not because they immediatly stop the photosynthesis proccess, so its not going to affect the quality or potency of the flowers no matter if its dark or light..

PS- As far as i know thats how it is, but i could be wrong, there may be a difference between if you dry in the dark or in the light, but ive been growin for 4 yrs now and i have done both and cant tell the difference.

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to dry them out like this. Any help would be much appriciated as their nearly ready. Thanks Rating: 5
