    Drying?

Evening All. My Skunk Special plant is nearly ready and I'm planning on drying each bud individually as some are maturing slightly faster than others. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to dry them out like this. Any help would be much appriciated as their nearly ready.

    Thanks

    Drying?

Umm, ide imagine that you would simply dry and cure it the same as you would if you were doing it in bulk, except for the fact that it may not take as long and you wont need as much space...

    Normal Drying Proccess-

Trim the cannabis flowers to your liking. Hang them in a DRY room temperature place. This area MUST remain dry or you will get mold. Once the stems have hardened, which should take at least 4-5 days, you can place them in mason jars to cure them. Open the jar once every 2 days for about 15 minutes to let them air out. In about a week after you place them in the jars you should be able to smoke them peacefully...

Now this is just my opinionated method. No gaurentees of any sort. But its a pretty popular way of drying and curing and has been successful for me every time. There is a quicker way as well. If you wish to be impatient and smoke asap, simply place your buds in a brown paper bag for a day or two after they have been hang dried.

The quality will be a lot less if you use the bag method. The jar method preserves more THC and the taste will be a lot richer..

    Drying?

Do the buds have to be in darkness when you hang dry them and then put them in the jars?

    Thanks

    Drying?

Its not a neccessity, no. But if its dark it may keep the temperature down a bit which can help with drying. But if its dark and the humidity is too high in your dryin space then the buds will get mildew. No ifs, ands, or buts, if the drying space is moist, the buds will get moldy. Once you clip them off the main stem it doesnt matter if they get light or not because they immediatly stop the photosynthesis proccess, so its not going to affect the quality or potency of the flowers no matter if its dark or light..

PS- As far as i know thats how it is, but i could be wrong, there may be a difference between if you dry in the dark or in the light, but ive been growin for 4 yrs now and i have done both and cant tell the difference.

    Drying?

I have read in one of Jorge's books that once cut, light is one of biggest enemy of drying marijuana, it degrades THC

Thanks a lot for the tip. I think I'll dry them in the dark just to be on the safe side. Cheers
