I agree with SonEt, I first really got in to the sciences when I sat through a lesson stoned out of my face, and the teacher threw a ruler across the room, and mentioned how the centre of gravity, would be a hyperbola, now I'd seen that shit a million times before, but when he threw it and either end was flailing about, but it looked as though they were orbiting the central point, which seemed to fall in slow motion, it was the first time I looked at science not as a man made thing, but a study of the natural. Needless to say I didn't listen to a word the man said for the next hour and 20 mins, just couldn't stop thinking about the simplicity of the hyperbola, and free falling bodies in general, and ever since that day, I've been completely insane
