Mylar sheeting on my feflector hood?

I put my left-over Mylar sheeting over the reflectors on my lamps ... however, I am running flourescent 48" tubes now, they only hit about 105 degrees on their surfaces, not enough to harm the Mylar ...

It can melt and may burn if depending on the temp of the lamp. I use dull white paint on my reflectors. Pebble finished metal is the most reflective I hear.
