    65 watt fluorex hanging

I really like the 65 watt fluorex light fixtures. I got mine at walmart for $12. So Cal edison is doing a special discount. Homedepot is selling them for $40!!. Ouch.

Here is how I finally figured out how to hang them. Thanks to mobay for giving me the suggestion of using adjustable hangers. They are in the mail. I will post a picture of them and give them a review when I get them installed.

I built a wood frame using angle brackets and screws. Removed the metal cover from inside the lamp and drilled holes in the plastic cover and mounted a board to hang suspension from. The lamp is very easy to take apart with two screws.

Now I can adjust the light instead of looking for telephone books to stick under the plants.

    Enjoy.

    65 watt fluorex hanging

I have one that I just drilled holes into the corners to attatch string to. those lights are so light I bet a piece of thread in each corner could hang them. I was thinking of mounting a shitload to a piece of paneling or something also.

harmonicminor drilling holes in the corner, that's clever. They're a little heavier than that! Oh, maybe mine are heavy cause of the wood frame I had to make to hang them. Great idea. I'll have to try that. I worried about them tipping.

That would be good to mount alot of them. They're good lights.
