Lighting for 32 medium to large sized plants

What type of lights should I use. Should I use 4-600watts or just 2-1000watts. Or any other mixture of lights .

    2- 1000's would light a 4 x 8 area very very nicley

If you are going to keep your plants short.. Flowering around 6-10 inches with a final height of about 20 inches or less then you should consider 4 - 600's.. and they could cover a 3 x 12 space

If you incorporate a light mover into your grow you can stretch 2 - 1000's over a few more feet of length

    Easy question..

Use 4x 600W... More lightspread and more power all together.

I use 1000 W on tracks and they cover up to 8 by 12 ft although you need to rotate and have under a 2 foot canopy

So I think i am going to have 1-400watt then a 600watt then another 400watt. Going horizontaly over the plants. What do you think about that. Or would just have 2-600watts horizontaly be better.

I hang mine straight down with umbrella shades. Tracks are amazing. You can cover about 30% more space and up the yield by atleast 25%.

What are umbrella shades. Should I change my setup to 2-600watts and one 400watt in the middle?

That up to you. Umbrella shades are parabolic shades which and no one ever knows what I am talking about when I call them that, so I call them umbrella shades. Basically they are shaped like an umbrella.

Shit I can't find any 600watt mh ballasts so it looks Like I am going to have to go with a 400watt then a 1000watt then another 400watt. This will be lighting 16 plants. And on the other side of the room I will have the same thing. Any suggestions? Would this be a good idea or not. Is there a better mixture.

My suggestion is get more plants. My plants that up 8 sq inches and you can get over 100 of them , single cola , under a 1000w
