Fighting Back In The Drug War

Just a guess, but they would try to say (and probably succeed in US courts) that it is that ever popular "drug paraphenalia" moniker would be applied to whatever you were using regardless of presence of actual weed. If nothing else than the fact that bongs or water pipes are commonly used with marijuana.

Here's an idea I thought I'd throw out to anyone interested in fighting back in the drug war.

Buy a new bong, but don't smoke any weed out of it (so as not to get any resin on the bong). Also, buy some pipe tobacco or salvia or some other legal smoke. Now drive through your town decked out in pothead clothes. I'm thinking tie-dye pot leaf shirts and everything. Make sure you are 100% not stoned. Just cruise with your buddies smoking the stuff (if it's salvia or something make sure the driver doesn't get any!) Make sure any popo can see what you're up to. When they pull you over, let them search the car, search you, search everything. Claim that you are using perfectly legal products and that you have broken no laws.

If we get enough people doing this, maybe cops will get used to the idea of seeing people take bong rips in cars and won't pull us over. I doubt it, but who knows? I just think it would be funny to see some guy at a red light next to a cop car taking a big tobacco bong rip.

That sounds like a great and funny idea but there maybe a snag to that!

Though they cant bust you for any illegal substance, they may still bust you for Paraphernalia possession...?

Uhh, salvia definitely isn't legal to smoke. I like the idea of toking some tobacco in a bong in front of a police officer, I'm definitely going to do this some time when I'm 18. Just walk down the street, bubbler in hand, and see what the cop says.
