More update... I have noticed the the cotyledon with part of the shell on it is a little bigger and not as green as the smaller one.. The underside of the cotyledons meet the stem are a red purplish color.. Is this nomal??

Can anyone explain why this is happening and what should I do??

I tried to remove it with a pair of tweezers with no sucess. I was afraid of shocking the root system any more than I had so I just left it on hoping in a day or 2 it will fall off on its own.
