You have to listen to their albums from beginning to end. It's the only way :P I like both albums, and their Tremulant EP.

I love Mars Volta, I especially love Cedric and Omar, more when they were with At The Drive-In. I'm sure 99% of Mars Volta fans would disagree with me.

Sure, how they branched out to form Mars Volta since then to make such a unique blend of creativity and pure ecstacy, it's not just music anymore, it's art.

However, what they had with At The Drive-In was special. Maybe it wasn't as innovative as the blend of styles that Mars Volta brought to the table. Maybe it's not as unique in terms of signatures and song structure. However, they rocked out like no other. I'd chop my arm and leg off just to see At The Drive-In perform again. I wasn't one of the lucky few that actually got to see them live. In their earlier days, when no one heard of them, one of my friend's brother taped a show at a small club they did in Florida, there were only 20 people at the show. But as soon as they played, literally all 20 of them were trying to crawl up the stage. They fucking rocked like no other, even more than Mars Volta, as great as they are.
